Region Director Ramblings 12-3-2015
Election Results
I have just received the results from the 2015 National Ski Patrol Election. Three Central Division members Jim Woodrum, Brian Rull and John (Ty) Damon were elected to three year terms. Current Board Chairman Ed McNamara of Eastern Division was also elected for a second term.
Central Division cast over 2300 votes (over 1/3 of the membership), the highest of any Division. Over half of Northern Michigan Patrollers voted.
Where is winter
Central Division has canceled the West Side STW scheduled for Afton Alps this coming weekend and the East Side event scheduled for next weekend is in jeopardy for lack of snow. My grass is still green and my new snow blower has never seen snow. Can this really be December 3rd? If anyone know where winter is hiding please let us know!
Senior Program
Reminder, Applications for everyone participating in the on-hill or OEC modules of the Senior Program are due to John Wiley on or beforeDecember 15th. Members can be held back if they are not ready, however, none will be added after the deadline.
Awards
This is a good time to get a jump in those award applications. Contact Awards Advisor Jerry Rodeman for the latest information and help with your applications.
